We are Smits Music, offering educational materials and support, and providing music education from babies to elderly and everything in between! 

We are More... We are introducing our online Curated Boutique Shop for our local community and anyone else interested in purchasing their books and other items through us. Our listings (are a work in progress) will include teaching guides, and a review of the book or item.

Smits Music & More strives to create age appropriate curricula for various instrumental music study and more! The core of curriculum development revolves around brain-based educational research. Therefore, all concepts are conveyed as both developmentally appropriate and easily comprehensible. Both for the immediate application of a lesson as well as for further expansion as definitions are elaborated over the course of advancing music grade levels. Our mission is to keep the fun, artistry & creativity in music, art and more for all ages for throughout life!

Learning should be fun. And fun is something understood, intrinsically valuable and something that can be done over and over again to the heart’s desire. So it is our mission to teach so students learn so students may have fun both learning and doing.

To accomplish this life long enjoyment of learning, our educational philosophy is focused on the nature of learning. Taking into consideration the whole being in all its various stages of growth and development as well as its matured and complex psychology. Anything done the way nature intended is never painfully frustrating and hopeless. It is a well balanced combination of welcomed challenges, confidence building successes and constant moments of “ah-ha!” It is learning to be kind to oneself by enjoying the process required for true learning to take place. Then reaping the rewards of kind patience with results that exceed expectations! And it is knowing that for the rest of one’s life, what is learned will forever be a part of you whatever path you choose.
